The Resource Production Centre for the Digital University (CEPRUD) University of the University of Granada has carried out, between the 2nd and 6th of March, a training program for the qualification of members of the different universities that participate in the project Erasmus+ COPHELA (Cooperation in Quality Assurance for Pharmacy Education and Training between Europe and Latin America).
The main objective of this project is to create an online teaching platform for specialized studies in community, hospital and industrial pharmacy. Thus, the platform will host massive open online courses (MOOC) that will be launched in the participating universities.
The training program has been aimed at improving technical skills in instructional design, oriented to virtual or semi-presential teaching, and training in the use of audiovisual techniques and lecture- capture equipment, to be used in the elaboration of teaching units.
By using these tools, the COPHELA project allows the implementation of a decentralized educational communication model, in which the members of each university will be able to offer their materials to the rest of the project partners, responding, through semi-autonomous audiovisual recording techniques, to the academic challenges of the project.
The UGR is responsible for the coordination of the project. The main units of the UGR involved in the implementation of the project are the International Relations Office, which is responsible for the administrative and financial management, and CEPRUD, which coordinates the technical aspects. The academic and general coordination of the project will be in charge of Prof. Antonio Sánchez Pozo from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The COPHELA project is part of the Key Action 2 - Cooperation for Innovation and Exchange of Good Practices, Capacity Building in Higher Education of the Erasmus+ Programme. The UGR also participates in another 13 Erasmus+ projects (approved in the 2017, 2018 and 2019 calls), being the coordinating institution in two of them.
